
About Me

Ana Aroso is a harpist and teacher from Porto, with a career marked by versatility, artistic excellence, and academic rigor. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Harp Performance from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, studying under Jana Bousková, and also completed a Bachelor's degree in Writing and Music Theory at the same institution with Wouter Lenaerts. She obtained her Master's in Music Education from ESMAE with great distinction, under the guidance of Professor Ilaria Vivan.
She began her musical studies with Professor Pedro Ribeiro and later with Professor Áurea Guerner at the Conservatório de Música do Porto, where she completed the 8th grade with the highest distinction. She has been awarded in various competitions and regularly collaborates with prestigious orchestras and conductors, both in Portugal and abroad. Notable collaborations include the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, the Orquestra do Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, and the Orquestra Gulbenkian, where she has been performing as 1st guest soloist since 2022. She is also actively dedicated to chamber music, participating in various projects and ensembles.
Since 2024, she has been a member of the faculty at the Academia de Música de Espinho as a harp teacher. Her artistic activity has extended to countries such as Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, and Brazil. She represented Portugal at the VIII and X RioHarpFestival in Rio de Janeiro in 2013 and 2015. Received a scholarship from the GDA Foundation in 2017/2018.
Parallel to her musical career, she also holds a Master's degree in Architecture from FAUP.
